The Implant Treatment Process
Placement
After receiving approval for treatment, your doctor will arrange your oral surgery appointment and create a surgical plan. The procedure will involve making an incision in your gum tissue to carefully insert a dental implant into the jaw. Following this, the area will be cleaned and sutures will be placed to initiate the healing process.
Healing & Osseointegration
Once your implant is placed, your gums and jawbone will start to heal. The incision site should be healed within 1-2 weeks, but it will take 3-6 months for the implant to fully bond with your jawbone through osseointegration. To monitor your healing progress, we will schedule a few check-ups during this process.
Applying the Restoration
The last stage of the implant treatment process involves the restoration. A custom-made prosthetic dental crown will be created to perfectly match your smile and securely attached to the titanium implant. Once your new tooth is in position, your smile will be whole!
