Should I get dentures?
As people age or experience dental problems, they may need to consider ways to replace missing teeth. The choice of treatment will depend on factors like budget, lifestyle, and personal preferences for appearance. Dentures are a budget-friendly option for those with several missing teeth. Made from a mix of metal and acrylic, these custom-made devices are designed to fit comfortably over the gums. Patients can choose between partial or full dentures based on the severity of their tooth loss.

The Benefits of Dentures
Affordable
Many dental insurance plans typically provide coverage for a portion, if not all, of the treatment costs.
Removable
Please remove your dentures as needed to eat, drink, or sleep comfortably.
Easy to Maintain
Remember to brush your dentures just like you would your natural teeth and allow them to soak in a special solution overnight for a deep clean.
The Denture Treatment Process
Impressions or Scans
Once your treatment is approved, your dentist will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan. Scans or impressions of your mouth will be taken and sent to the dental lab to begin creating your prosthetic. In the meantime, temporary dentures may be provided to protect your gums until your final dentures are ready.
Tooth Extraction (If Needed)
If your new dentures need it, extractions may be needed. Your dentist will ensure your comfort by numbing your mouth or using sedation before the procedure. It's crucial to rest for at least 24 hours after the extraction. Your dentist will give you specific instructions to help manage any discomfort and promote a smooth healing process.
Fitting and Adjustments
Once your dentures are finished, you will come back to the office for the fitting process. We will make any needed adjustments to ensure your dentures are comfortable and functional. Remember to schedule yearly checkups for your dentures to help them last up to 10 years with proper care.
